TemanTeman.org through innovative uses of communication technology aims at increasing clinical services uptake among most-at-risk populations (MARPs) in Malaysia, and emphasizes on HIV prevention, early HIV testing for those at risk of an HIV infection, and early treatment for people living with HIV. With an innovative communication and marketing strategy, TemanTeman.org aims to reduce stigma associated with HIV testing and treatment in Malaysia.
We believe that TemanTeman.org integrated communication strategy is a significant channel to empower the community and communicate with MARPs of all age groups, display the social acceptance, promote education, safe and smart sexual behaviors among MARPs of all age groups and eventually encourage them to get tested.
We have built our reputation on these values to enable us develop a trusted one-stop source of high-quality information on HIV. TemanTeman.org, supported by The Thai Red Cross AIDS Research Centre, ViiV Healthcare and TREAT Asia has partnered with the Infectious Diseases Unit at University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) and Centre of Excellence for Research in AIDS (CERiA) in Malaysia to develop expert HIV/AIDS content for the Malaysian audience, make HIV testing accessible and offer treatment, care and support for people living with HIV.
