Who We Are


TemanTeman.org is an integrated HIV/AIDS communication project sponsored by ViiV Healthcare and the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR), organized by the Thai Red Cross AIDS Research Centre and created by Purple Haze Asia to increase the awareness of HIV/AIDS, scale-up early HIV testing among most-at-risk populations (MARPs) and link HIV positive people to treatment and care in Malaysia. The project is supported by the Infectious Diseases Department at University Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) and Centre of Excellence for Research in AIDS (CERIA).

TemanTeman.org offers comprehensive and reliable information on HIV/AIDS and STI, HIV/STI testing, treatment and care services to the Malaysia audience. What We Do


TemanTeman.org utilizes innovative strategies and communication technology to promote early and routine HIV testing, scale-up clinical services uptake among most-at-risk populations (MARPs) and link HIV positive people to treatment and care, and offer comprehensive and reliable HIV/AIDS information and support to MARPs in Malaysia. The website and linked social media networks offer attractive fashion photography, engages famous people and celebrities to de-stigmatize MARPs and HIV testing and treatment, online counseling , expert advise on HIV/AIDS and related subjects via videos and interactive Temanteman.org club. The web is linked to healthcare providers in Malaysia to make HIV testing, medical consultations, treatment, care and support services accessible. The website engages MARPs to participate in Online as well as Offline activities including free prize distributions.
